Job Duties:
- Mowing, softscape maintenance, and operating various small engine equipment.
- Trimming along property edges and obstacles.
- Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment by conducting daily inspections, lubricating, and cleaning.
- Cleaning lawn, walkways, etc, of grass clippings with a leaf blower.
- Pruning shrubs and trees as needed and clearing debris.
- Beds maintenance at some sites, including weeding, deadheading flowers, and pruning.
- Clean sites and watch with spectacular care for trash, limbs, rocks, and other hazards/
- Load and unload equipment efficiently and safely.
- Participate in seasonal change jobs, such as Spring & Fall Clean Ups.
- Assist in yard and shop cleaning as necessary.
- Reporting work that needs to be done on each site that isn't part of the normal scope.
- Attend weekly tailgate meetings.
Requirements:
- MUST have a valid driver's license & provide a clean abstract, and have reliable transportation.
- MUST be able to drive a Standard Transmission.
- MUST have experience pulling a trailer.
- MUST provide a Criminal Record Check.
- MUST be available for weekend shifts when required.
- Some experience with line trimmers, ride-on mowers, weeding/gardening, and general lawn maintenance PREFERRED. We will train the right candidates.
- This position requires someone capable of performing hard physical work, including lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods. Must be able to lift 50 pounds repetitively.
Work Conditions:
- Exposure to all types of weather conditions.
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts.
- Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and extreme heat.
- Noise level of work environment may be moderate to loud.
Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 5-6 months
Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Barrhead, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
