Machine Shop Supervisor

GS CNC Solutions Ltd is seeking a Machine Shop Supervisor to lead daily shop operations and support our CNC machining team. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong technical knowledge of CNC milling and turning, along with planning and supervisory skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support a team of up to 5 machinists/programmers
- Oversee daily CNC milling and CNC turning operations
- Read, understand, and troubleshoot G-code and M-code programs
- Assist with CNC setup, prove-outs, and process improvements
- Plan and schedule jobs to meet production deadlines
- Order tooling, cutting tools, and shop supplies
- Coordinate material ordering and availability
- Ensure quality, safety, and housekeeping standards are maintained
- Step in to operate CNC machines as needed during downtime or peak workloads
Required Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with CNC milling and turning machines
- Solid understanding of G-code and M-code
- Experience with tooling selection, setup, and optimization
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Proven experience scheduling and planning machining work
- Leadership experience supervising or mentoring machinists
- Organized, dependable, and solutions-focused
Preferred Assets
- CNC programming experience
- Experience in a job shop or high-mix, low-volume environment
- Familiarity with FANUC controls
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
