## Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling transportation services efficiently.
## Duties
- Assist current dispatch team in entering orders into software
- Answer and manage incoming calls on phone systems
- Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently
- Coordinate shipping and receiving activities
- Analyze transportation data to optimize routes
- Maintain effective communication with drivers, customers, and third-party logistics providers (3PL)
- Ensure timely delivery of goods through effective supply chain management
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette in all interactions
## Experience
A background in dispatch in the transportation industry is a bonus but not required
### Required Skills:
- Strong data entry skills
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes
- Ability to analyze transportation data for route optimization
- Excellent phone etiquette for customer interactions
### Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience in a supply chain environment
- Ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders
