Position Overview
Wine Kitz Kamloops and Mocktail Mixery are looking for a friendly, reliable Part-Time Retail Associate who loves customer service and has an interest in beverages. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys learning, sharing product knowledge, and being part of a fun, community-focused retail environment.
An interest in mixology, cocktail creation, and wine is a strong asset. Training will be provided, but enthusiasm and curiosity go a long way!
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers in both stores, providing knowledgeable and personalized product recommendations
- Operate the cash register and accurately process sales using the POS system
- Maintain inventory levels, restock shelves, and keep retail spaces clean and organized
- Assist with wine-making demonstrations and workshops at Wine Kitz Kamloops
- Conduct tastings and product samplings at Mocktail Mixery
- Build and maintain strong product knowledge across both brands
- Handle customer questions and resolve issues professionally and efficiently
- Create attractive product displays and assist with in-store promotions
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving store operations
- Maintain a positive, professional, and welcoming atmosphere for all customers
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (post-secondary education is an asset)
- Serving It Right certification (required)
- Previous retail experience, preferably in beverage, hospitality, or specialty food
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Interest in wine, non-alcoholic beverages, and/or mixology (training provided)
- Ability to lift and move boxes and products as required
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
