The HR Coordinator plays a key administrative and coordination role within the Human Resources team, supporting HR Leaders and business partners across the organization. This position is ideal for a recent graduate with an HR degree or diploma who is eager to build a strong foundation in Human Resources within a fast‑paced transportation environment.
The HR Coordinator is responsible for supporting HR processes, programs, and policies; coordinating HR initiatives; maintaining accurate records; and engaging with internal stakeholders across multiple departments. This role requires strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and advanced proficiency with the Microsoft 365 suite. There is significant opportunity for growth into other areas of HR as experience develops.
How You’ll Help

HR Administration & Coordination – providing support to processes related to all areas of HR, including but not limited to: Supporting VP HR with end-to-end HR Management work, supporting HR Regional teams, Employee Services, Pension & Benefits, Talent Acquisition, and Talent Management teams

Provide administrative support to HR Leaders and the broader HR team

Maintain accurate employee records, files, and HR documentation

Prepare letters, forms, reports, and other HR correspondence

Administer processes, programs as identified for the role

Support Continuous Improvement initiatives, identify opportunities to improve HR processes, tools, and workflows

Track, coordinate, and support key HR activities, processes, programs, initiatives, deadlines, and deliverables to ensure timely execution

Support the implementation of HR policies, procedures, and programs

Assist in documenting and standardizing HR processes

Collaborate with multiple departments to support HR activities

Support coordination of employee engagement and community involvement initiatives

Reporting & working in Microsoft 365 Tools, such as the need to create and maintain Excel spreadsheets for tracking, reporting, and analysis. Prepare professional PowerPoint presentations for HR initiatives and leadership meetings, and draft and format documents using Microsoft Word

Support data accuracy and confidentiality across all systems and processes
Your Skills & Experience:
Graduate of HR or Business Degree or Diploma
Actively pursuing CPHR, or have a willingness to pursue CPHR professional designation
Internships, co-op, or some work experience in HR, Office, or Business environments is considered an asset
Strong proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Excellent organizational and time‑management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
Comfortable engaging with a wide range of internal stakeholders
Demonstrated initiative and interest in continuous improvement
Self-starter with a proactive mindset
Professional, collaborative, approachable
Curious and motivated, resourceful and willing to learn and grow
Strong sense of confidentiality and discretion
