Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 1 Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial trucks to transport freight and materials across various routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, efficiency, and professionalism, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining compliance with all transportation regulations. Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 1 commercial trucks for the transportation of freight and materials to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary, adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transit.
- Perform routine maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues or repairs needed.
- Follow all federal, state, and local transportation laws and company policies to ensure safe operations.
- Assist with automotive repairs or minor troubleshooting as needed, leveraging automotive repair skills.
Skills
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Experience in freight transportation and commercial driving environments.
- Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as forklifts is preferred.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety standards.
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary.
- Strong communication skills for effective coordination with team members and clients.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently in various conditions.

Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
