Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Glazier to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in installing, repairing, and replacing glass in various structures, including residential and commercial buildings. Duties
- Install, repair, and replace glass in windows, doors, storefronts, curtain wall, and other structures.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the specifications for glass installation.
- Use hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and fit glass according to project requirements.
- Ensure that all installations are plumb, level, and properly sealed using caulking techniques.
- Collaborate with carpenters and other construction professionals to coordinate work efforts.
- Restore existing glass installations by replacing damaged or broken panes.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Glazier or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Strong skills in using hand tools and power tools relevant to glass installation.
- Knowledge of drywall installation techniques is a plus.
- Ability to plumb and build structures as needed for glass installation.
- Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship with a commitment to quality work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
