Responsibilities
· Address customers' complaints or concerns
· Coach colleagues on new methods or work techniques
· Provide professionalism in customer service
· Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
· Load and unload goods
· Operate and drive trucks to transport goods and materials
· Inspect vehicle condition (tires, lights, brakes, etc.)
· Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspections
· Perform preventive maintenance
· Communicate with dispatch
· Record cargo info, hours, distance, and fuel
Credentials
AZ class license
Air Brakes Endorsement
Class 1/1F/A Licence
Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
Experience and Specialization
Documentation knowledge:
· Accident or incident reports
· Bill of lading
· Dangerous goods occurrence reports
· Driver logbook
· Inspection reports
· Maintenance and repair reports
· Trans-border documentation
· Trip reports
Type of trucking and equipment:
· Extended length tractor-trailer
· Flatbed
· Tractor-trailer B train
Additional Information
Security and safety: Valid passport, Criminal record check, Drug test, Medical exam
Transportation: Manual transmission, cross-border and international travel
Physical requirements: Heavy loads, repetitive tasks, sitting, up to 23 kg. Shift: early morning, evening, shift, morning, night, day, weekend, overtime required. Languages: English. Experience an asset. Relocation costs covered by company.
