Overview
We are seeking (both full-time and part-time) friendly, detail-oriented Cashiers to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, efficiently handle transactions, and contribute to a positive shopping experience. This role offers an opportunity to develop strong communication and sales skills within a dynamic retail environment. Bilingual abilities and experience in technology sales or product demos are considered valuable assets. The Cashier position is a role that plays a vital part in maintaining smooth store operations and customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases
- Operate POS systems accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges
- Handle cash, credit card, and digital payments with precision and security
- Provide product information, conduct product demos when needed, and upsell items to enhance sales
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure the checkout area is clean and welcoming
- Manage customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy
- Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment as required
- Uphold organizational standards for time management and efficient service delivery
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening
- Relay customer comments/suggestions/complaints to supervisor in order for management to continiously improve the store and and customer experience
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Strong basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing
- Experience in technology sales or product demonstrations is a plus
- Bilingual abilities (English plus additional languages) are highly desirable for serving diverse customers
- Proven organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating positive shopping experiences
- Ability to manage time efficiently, prioritize tasks, and maintain professionalism under pressure
