Electronics Field Technician – Door Automation & Access Control
Actively interviewing now. For qualified applicants, the first step is a short 10-minute phone call.
Pop-A-Lock specializes in installing and repairing commercial door hardware and low-voltage control systems. In addition to traditional locks and keys, we install and maintain door operators, electrified door hardware, access control systems, and CCTV systems for building owners, contractors, and security integrators across the province. We continue to grow and are looking to bring on additional technicians.
Two Candidate Pathways. We are open to two types of candidates:
1. Experienced Field Service Technicians
You may be a fit if you have experience with automatic door operators; access control or security systems; cameras, electric strikes, maglocks, or motorized exit devices; low-voltage electrical work; door closers; exit devices; storefront, wood, or steel doors.
Experienced candidates may qualify for the higher end of the pay range.
2. Junior Technician / Electronics Graduate
You may be a fit if you are a recent NSCC or NBCC graduate, or an early-career candidate with formal training in electronics or electrical technology, electronics or electrical engineering technology, electromechanical technology, or low-voltage technology, including automation, controls, or related technical programs.
We can train you in door hardware and field installation aspects of the role, but we are especially interested in candidates who already understand basic electrical, electronic, and networking concepts.
