Summary
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team at Bird's Nest Cafe. This role is vital in maintaining our high standards of food quality and customer satisfaction, ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our guests. This is a daytime position, with paid time off at the December holidays.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring food quality and safety standards are met.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing training and support to foster a collaborative environment.
- Hire and on-board new kitchen staff to ensure consistency.
- Develop and update menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
- Manage inventory, ordering supplies to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to deliver excellent service.
- Monitor food presentation and consistency.
- Innovate new dishes to keep the menu exciting and appealing.
- Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or cafe setting.
- Strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and food safety.
- Excellent team management and leadership abilities.
- Experience in restaurant management preferred.
- Knowledge of the food industry trends.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Passion for creating high-quality culinary experiences.
Pay: $41,600.00-$54,080.00 per year
