Job Summary
We are currently seeking a licensed Optician to join a professional and customer-focused optical team in Duncan, BC.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Optician who enjoys working directly with patients, providing exceptional customer service, and helping customers find the right eyewear solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Provide professional and personalized eyewear consultations to customers.
Assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and other optical products based on their needs.
Take accurate measurements and ensure proper fitting and adjustment of eyewear.
Dispense and fit prescription eyewear according to professional standards.
Educate customers on lens options, coatings, care, and maintenance.
Verify prescriptions and ensure orders are processed accurately.
Perform repairs, adjustments, and troubleshooting of eyewear when required.
Maintain accurate customer records and follow established procedures.
Deliver excellent customer service and build strong relationships with patients.
Work collaboratively with optometrists and other team members.
Stay current with optical products, technologies, and industry practices.
Qualifications
Licensed Optician in British Columbia.
Previous experience in an optical/retail environment is preferred.
Strong knowledge of lenses, frames, measurements, and fitting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Customer-focused with a professional and friendly approach.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Compensation & Benefits
