PX Solutions is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance function, with a defined path to Controller as the company scales. This is an in-office role based at #100 10448 – 176th St. NW, Edmonton, AB.

The successful candidate will take ownership of core accounting operations from day one, while developing the leadership and reporting skills required to step into a Controller role as PX Solutions grows. This is an ideal opportunity for a CPA with 3–5 years of experience who is ready to take on broader accountability in a high-growth health technology environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the company's accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Oversee payroll operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with laws and timely payments.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports for external stakeholders.
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and monitor financial strategies and key performance indicators.
- Ensure compliance with tax and audit requirements, coordinating with external auditors and tax advisors.
- Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations for cost-saving opportunities and operational efficiency.
- Some limited travel required as we grow our business across Canada.
Qualifications:
· CPA designation.
· 3–5 years’ experience in operational accounting in a full-cycle environment; experience in Q360 or equivalent ERP is an asset but not required.
· Proficient knowledge of all aspects of project cost accounting as well as financial, management, and operational reporting
· Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy
· A team player who is willing to “roll up their sleeves” and lend support wherever needed
· Demonstrated flexibility in fostering a dynamic environment where priorities can change hourly
· Strong organization and time management skills with a proven ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
· A growth mindset that is excited by high-growth entrepreneurial environments
· Professional and effective communication and presentation skills at all levels (both written and verbal)
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office application
