Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Excavator Operator to join our crew. The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy equipment safely and efficiently on job sites.
Responsibilities:
- Operate excavators for digging, trenching, grading, and site preparation
- Perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance
- Follow site plans, grade stakes, and instructions from supervisors
- Ensure safety procedures are followed at all times
- Work alongside labourers and other operators as part of a team
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Requirements:
- Previous experience operating excavators (2+ years preferred)
- Must have a Valid driver’s license (Class 5 minimum; Class 3 an asset)
- Knowledge of construction site safety practices
- Ability to read grade stakes and plans (asset)
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work in varying weather condition
Assets:
- Experience with other heavy equipment (dozer, loader, skid steer)
- First Aid certification
- WHMIS / safety training
