Job Description
Oliver Wyman is seeking an Intern to help strengthen its growing North American Life Actuarial Consulting practice. This individual will have the opportunity to join a firm with an aggressive growth mission. Additionally, the Intern will have the ability to work alongside well-known, senior-level consultants and gain broad industry exposure
among Oliver Wyman’s clients, which include insurance companies, reinsurance companies, investment banks, law firms, regulators, and private equity firms.
Projects include but are not limited to the following:
Insurance mergers & acquisitions – sell-side appraisals and buy-side due diligence
Capital markets transactions - reserve financing (securitization) and reinsurance
Life and annuity product development and financial reporting
Creation and analysis of financial projections
Actuarial modernization and data transformation
Development and maintenance of intellectual capital
Litigation support
Client and industry presentations and case studies
Qualifications
Working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance or a related field
Commitment to achieving ASA/ACIA designation
Strong technical knowledge (Moody’s AXIS and RiskIntegrity™, MS Excel, MS Access or other database software, VBA or another programming language)
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to quickly process and learn new concepts
