Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber to join our construction and maintenance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience in plumbing systems, with the ability to work efficiently in both commercial and residential settings. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to various projects, utilizing a diverse skill set including carpentry, HVAC, and welding. Candidates must be committed to safety, quality workmanship, and timely project completion.
Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in new construction, renovations, and existing structures
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation and repairs
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to assemble and modify plumbing components
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely during installation or repair tasks
- Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues and perform preventative maintenance
- Collaborate with other trades such as carpentry and HVAC teams to coordinate project efforts
- Follow safety protocols including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) during all tasks
- Assist in the assembly of plumbing fixtures and related components according to specifications
- Read schematics and technical documents for troubleshooting complex plumbing issues
- Operate basic construction machinery or tools as needed for specific projects
Qualifications
- G class driver with clean drivers abstract
- Proven experience with plumbing installation, repair, and maintenance in commercial or residential environments
- Mechanical knowledge with familiarity in carpentry, HVAC systems, and blueprint reading
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics effectively
- Strong understanding of basic math for measurements and calculations during installations or repairs
- Experience with heavy lifting and physical labor required for construction projects
- Knowledge of safety standards related to plumbing work and construction sites
- Valid driver’s license for transporting materials or traveling between job sites
- Construction experience is a plus; certification in plumbing or related trades is advantageous
