Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pet Groomer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming services to a variety of pets, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the grooming process. You will interact with pet owners to understand their grooming needs and provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a clean and safe environment. This position is commission based.
*IMPORTANT NOTE* CURRENTLY ONLY LOOKING FOR A GROOMER WHO HAS ALREADY BUILT SOMEWHAT OF A CLIENTELE BASE.
Duties
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for dogs and cats of all breeds.
- Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin to recommend appropriate grooming treatments.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ grooming needs and any concerns observed during the grooming process.
- Maintain cleanliness of the grooming area, tools, and equipment to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Handle pets safely and compassionately, ensuring their comfort during grooming sessions.
- Provide excellent customer service by building rapport with clients and addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
- Assist in heavy lifting of larger pets as needed during the grooming process.
Requirements
- Previous experience in pet grooming is required; willingness to grow is essential.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger animals safely.
- Knowledge of various dog and cat breeds, along with their specific grooming needs is a plus.
- A compassionate attitude towards animals and a commitment to their welfare.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Pay will be commission based and discussed with you if you qualify.
