We are seeking a Salon & Facility Shift Lead to help oversee the daily flow and operations of our multi-service dog care facility. This is a hands-on leadership position focused on supporting the team, maintaining building standards, ensuring quality care for the dogs, and helping daily operations run smoothly across grooming, daycare, and boarding.
We are willing to train the right person with a strong work ethic, leadership qualities, and a genuine passion for dogs and animal care.
This role is ideal for someone with grooming experience who is looking to take on more responsibility, step into a leadership position, or transition away from the physical demands of full-time grooming while still staying involved in the industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Help lead daily operations across grooming, daycare, and boarding
- Support staff throughout shifts and help keep the team organized and on task
- Assist in maintaining grooming quality, consistency, and efficiency
- Help oversee safe daycare group management and proper dog handling practices
- Monitor boarding care routines including feeding, medication, cleanliness, and overall wellbeing
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized facility
- Assist with client interactions and help address questions or concerns professionally
- Help ensure company standards and safety protocols are being followed throughout the facility
Qualifications
- Experience in dog grooming or the grooming industry a plus
- Strong understanding of dog behavior and handling
- Daycare or boarding experience is a major asset
- Leadership, supervisory, or senior team experience preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Reliable, professional, and confident working with both dogs and people
This role may include the option to groom part-time if desired, but the primary focus is supporting operations and helping lead the shift.
