We are seeking a reliable, safety-conscious, and experienced Tow Truck Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing towing, roadside assistance, vehicle recovery, and transportation services while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Operate tow trucks and recovery vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Respond promptly to dispatch calls for towing and roadside assistance.
- Load, secure, transport, and unload vehicles according to company and safety procedures.
- Perform vehicle recoveries, winching, lockout services, battery boosts, tire changes, and fuel deliveries as required.
- Complete all required paperwork, inspection reports, and service documentation accurately.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment and vehicles.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance of company vehicles and equipment.
- Provide exceptional customer service during potentially stressful situations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of towing or vehicle recovery experience preferred.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record (Class 3 license considered an asset).
- Experience operating flatbed, wheel-lift, and recovery tow trucks.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle loading, securement, and recovery techniques.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Must be available for shift work, weekends, evenings, holidays, and on-call rotations as required.
Pay: $40,416.16-$98,306.60 per year
