Work Week - 4-day, Monday-Thursday, 10 hours/day
Better Together Group is recruiting on behalf of a manufacturing client seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead its New Product Development (NPD) team.
This leadership role will oversee Engineers, Draftsmen, and Project Management resources while driving product development, manufacturing efficiency, engineering standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of Engineers, Draftsmen, and Project Management professionals.
- Drive new product development projects from concept through production.
- Champion Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and cost reduction initiatives.
- Establish and maintain engineering standards and best practices.
- Support product standardization and continuous improvement programs.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams.
- Provide technical leadership for complex engineering challenges and root cause investigations.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 3 years of Engineering Management experience.
- Strong knowledge of DFM, product development, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with FMEA, DOE, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems.
- SolidWorks and hydraulics experience are considered assets.
- Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
