Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable and experienced Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to deliver goods efficiently across designated routes. This role requires a strong focus on safety, punctuality, and professionalism, ensuring that all deliveries are completed accurately and on time. Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license class 3 or 5 with Air Brake endorsement. Clean drivers abstract, clean Criminal search. Must have min 2 years verifiable experience.
Duties
- Safely operate trucks and commercial vehicles to transport goods to various locations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securement of items
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and delivery records
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules or issues
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during operations
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the vehicle type
- Proven experience in driving large trucks or commercial vehicles
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during loading and unloading processes
- Strong driving skills with a clean driving record
- Excellent navigation skills and familiarity with GPS devices or route planning tools
- Good communication skills and professionalism when interacting with clients and team members
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adhere to schedules
