3rd/4th Year Automotive Technician Apprentice
Looking for a change in scenery? AES Mechanics near Tomahawk, AB is seeking a motivated and career-driven 3rd or 4th Year Apprentice Technician to join our growing team.
This position offers the opportunity to work directly under our Lead Diesel/auto Technician, gaining hands-on experience in diagnostics, major repairs, diesel systems, drivability concerns, and general automotive repair. The successful candidate will receive mentorship, guidance, and training to help advance their skills and apprenticeship.
We are a fast-paced shop that primarily handles larger repair jobs rather than quick-service work. We take pride in performing quality repairs and doing the job right the first time.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Assisting with diagnostics and major repair work
- Performing inspections and maintenance services
- Learning advanced troubleshooting and repair procedures
- Maintaining accurate and detailed work habits
- Keeping work areas clean and organized
- Working as part of a team to complete repairs efficiently and safely
Requirements:
- Registered 3rd or 4th Year Apprentice
- Own tools required (shop supplies specialty tools)
- Strong attention to detail
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Willingness to learn, take direction, and accept coaching
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance
- Valid driver's license
- Diesel experience is an asset but not required—we are willing to train the right person
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Occasional overtime may be required during busy periods or when jobs need to be completed
