About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Mechanic to join our shop team. Whether your background is in Heavy-Duty Equipment, Industrial Maintenance (Millwright), or Automotive repair, if you have strong mechanical aptitude and a drive to solve complex engine problems, we want to hear from you.
In this role, you will work exclusively in a controlled shop environment—no field travel required—focusing on the rebuild, repair, maintenance, and testing of large stationary industrial equipment and natural gas engines.
Key Responsibilities
- Engine Overhauls & Component Rebuilds: Diagnose, disassemble, repair, and rebuild natural gas engines, including Caterpillar, Waukesha, Arrow, and Cummins.
- Stationary Equipment Maintenance: Service and repair pump jacks, generator sets (gensets), and related industrial machinery.
- Mechanical Powertrains: Troubleshoot and service industrial clutches, accessory drives, and power take-off (PTO) systems.
- Diagnostics: Utilize diagnostic tools and mechanical expertise to troubleshoot performance issues on natural gas systems.
- Shop Safety: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all shop safety protocols.
What We Are Looking For
We value adaptability and mechanical problem-solving above all else. You are a great fit if you possess:
- Experience: Proven experience as a Heavy-Duty Mechanic, Automotive Mechanic, or Millwright. (Experience with natural gas engines is a major asset, but we are willing to train the right mechanical mind).
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with industrial engine brands (CAT, Waukesha, Cummins, Arrow) is highly preferred.
- Precision Skills: Strong understanding of tolerances, accessory drives, clutches, and stationary mechanical systems.
- Tools: Must possess your own standard trade tools appropriate for the role.
- Mindset: A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a pride in high-quality shop workmanship.
