Job Description:
- Troubleshoot and repair issues in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Install, align, dismantle, and remove mechanical equipment on vehicles, such as pumps, hoses, compressors, engines, tanks, according to layout plans using hand and power tools
- Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes, jacks and tractors to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up and repair of machinery
- Perform service work on existing equipment including teardowns and rebuilding
Job Requirements:
- Completion of secondary school
- 5 years of work experience in a mechanical trade (i.e. machinist, millwright)
- Own tools and safety gear required to perform job
- Strong reading, writing and communication skills
Skills and Experience:
- Experience in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical equipment
- Ability to read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
- Ability to operate various power tools to assemble, cut, sand component
- Ability to work in a shop environment and outside, depending on the job
