URGENTLY HIRING - General Body & Equipment (GBE) is looking for a 2nd to 4th year Apprentice and/or Journeyman HET with CVIP Certification (Asset/Not Required) for our Edmonton Service Department. GBE is a privately owned Alberta based company which has been building the best custom work trucks on the road today for 40 years. Our Edmonton Service Department supports our manufacturing efforts by providing local service and maintenance capabilities for our products, and many other truck mounted equipment manufacturers, in the Northern Alberta region.

What your day may look like:
- Provide preventative maintenance on mobile equipment hydraulics which may include cranes, compressors and aerial devices
- Analyze and test equipment for proper performance to meet manufacturer’s spec’s and inspect equipment to detect faults
- Troubleshoot systems – hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, major overhauls if required
- Component rebuilds
- Work closely with purchasers on ordering parts for service repairs
- Assist in developing scope of work and timelines for repairs
What we need you to bring:
- Experience with on road highway and light duty trucks.
- Minimum class 5 driver’s license; class 3 an asset
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Alberta Transportation Certification/Registration an asset
- Crane, Compressor and Hi-Rail experience a strong asset
- Strong hydraulic and electrical 12-24volt diagnostics needed
- Aerial & Digger experienced an asset
- Welding experience an asset
- Willingness to learn new things and take on new tasks
- Supply your own tools
- Maintain a tidy work space
- Creative approach to problem solving and a positive attitude towards work and co-workers
- Sense of urgency and accuracy in task completion
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, exposure to in-house computer application systems
- Ability to work alone or as part of a team of another tradesman
- Have a concern for safety and a strong awareness for safe working procedures
