Regional Operating Lead – Franchise Operations

Role Overview
The Regional Operating Lead (ROL) is responsible for owning operational performance, brand compliance, and franchisee success across an assigned region of New York Sliders locations. This role bridges strategy and execution, ensuring that franchise partners consistently meet brand standards while improving sales, margins, and guest experience.
This is a mid management, field-driven leadership role designed to support scale, protect the brand, and build high-performing franchise networks.The role will get promoted to a Senior Management with Performance and Brand Evolvement.
Core Responsibilities
Regional Performance Ownership
- Own operational performance for all franchise locations within the assigned region
- Drive sales growth, margin improvement, and execution consistency
- Monitor and analyze KPIs including AUV, labour %, COGS, waste, and guest satisfaction
- Develop and execute corrective action plans for underperforming locations
Franchisee Leadership & Accountability
- Serve as the primary operational leader and escalation point for franchise partners
- Build strong, trust-based relationships while enforcing brand standards
- Coach franchisees and store leadership on operational excellence and profitability
- Address compliance gaps, repeated issues, and execution risks decisively
Brand Standards & Compliance
- Ensure strict adherence to SOPs, food quality, service standards, and brand presentation
- Conduct structured regional audits and follow-up reviews
- Ensure food safety, health inspection readiness, and regulatory compliance
- Protect New York Sliders’ brand integrity across all guest touchpoints
Training, Systems & Rollout
- Oversee execution of training programs and operational updates within the region
- Ensure proper use of POS, inventory systems, labour tools, and reporting platforms
- Lead regional rollouts of new menu items, promotions, and operational initiatives
- Partner with Training & Brand teams to close execution gaps
New Store Openings & Growth Support
- Lead operational readiness for new franchise openings in the region
- Oversee pre-opening training, mock services, and launch execution
- Support transitions, remodels, and operational upgrades as the brand evolves
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Regional audit and compliance scores
- Same-store sales growth and profitability improvement
- Reduction in operational escalations and guest complaints
- Training completion and execution accuracy
- Franchisee satisfaction and engagement scores
Qualifications & Experience
- 7+ years experience in multi-unit QSR or fast-casual operations
- Prior franchise operations or regional leadership experience required
- Strong financial acumen (P&L review, labour optimization, food cost control)
- Proven ability to manage performance across multiple owners and locations
- Experience supporting new store openings and rapid scale
