Shift Schedules:
- Morning shift: 06:30–14:30
- Evening shift: 14:30–22:30
- Awake Overnight shift: 22:30–06:30
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Community Support Worker/Caregiver to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist in providing high-quality patient care, ensuring comfort, safety, and well-being of patients. This role requires strong communication skills, organizational abilities, and a solid understanding of medical terminology, medication administration, basic personal care and able to assist in community activities. Can engage clients with cognitive and physical challenges.
The supported individual:
- enjoys being physically active and out in the community almost every day (such as adaptive mountain hiking, skiing, golfing, etc.)
The successful Candidate will:
- Be an experienced caregiver who can drive clients safely and with care (Class 5 license)
- Hold skills / some experience in management or leadership / teaching
- Receive Program-specific training
- Speak, understand, read and write English
- Be available to work any of the 3 Program shifts (as stated above)

Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility to promote comfort and independence
- Support with patient care tasks including vital signs monitoring and medication administration under supervision
- Maintain accurate documentation using Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook to record patient information and care activities
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure clear understanding of care plans
- Utilize computer skills for data entry, scheduling, and managing medical records while adhering to confidentiality protocols
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient needs promptly and professionally
- Follow infection control procedures and safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff
- Assist with medical procedures as directed by licensed medical professionals using appropriate medical terminology
Experience
- Strong organizational skills, time management capabilities, and excellent communication skills are necessary for success in this role
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration procedures, and patient care standards is desirable but training will be available for qualified candidates
- Knowledge and able to respond to individual experiencing seizures
- Food Safety Certification, First Aid Certification, WHMIS, Privacy Information Compliance
