Part-Time Position with Full-Time Opportunity
Highland Woods Dentistry is looking for a motivated and compassionate Dental Assistant/Float to join our growing team! This position is starting part-time immediately, with the opportunity to transition into a full-time chairside assisting role by September 2026 for the right candidate.
We are seeking someone who is passionate about dentistry, committed to exceptional patient care and eager to learn and grow within a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities
Sterile Bay Duties
- Sterilization and organization of dental instruments
- Maintaining infection prevention and control protocols
- Preparing treatment rooms between patients
- Monitoring and stocking clinical supplies
- Ensuring sterilization records and procedures are maintained properly
Dental Chairside Assisting Duties
- Assisting the dentist during procedures
- Preparing patients for treatment and ensuring comfort
- Taking and processing dental radiographs (if certified)
- Providing excellent patient care and communication
- Supporting the clinical team with day-to-day operations
Requirements
- New graduates welcome to apply
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages and backgrounds
- Certification or training in Level II Dental Assisting preferred; ongoing professional development encouraged
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude
- Ability to adapt quickly to different clinical environments as a float staff member
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
