Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Barn Lead to oversee the daily operations of our barn facilities. This role combines hands-on barn work with leadership responsibilities, including staff supervision, scheduling, and customer service.
The ideal candidate is organized, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, client-facing environment with horses, staff, and event participants.
Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Supervision
- Lead, supervise, and support stall cleaners and shavings sales staff
- Schedule staff to ensure proper coverage for daily operations and events
- Train staff on barn standards, safety protocols, and customer service expectations
Safety & Guest Experience
- Ensure the safety of staff, guests, animals, and facility operations at all times
- Maintain clean, safe, and welcoming barn areas and walkways
- Act as a primary point of contact for exhibitors, competitors, and barn users
- Respond promptly and professionally to questions or concerns
Barn Operations & Maintenance
- Oversee barn cleanliness and daily upkeep
- Perform and assist with stall cleaning and bedding management
- Manage manure removal and disposal according to facility practices
- Ensure barns, wash racks, aisles, and common areas remain clean and functional
- Identify and report maintenance or repair needs
Shavings & Supplies
- Oversee shavings sales, including inventory tracking
- Organize, fill, and distribute shavings bags as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe supply area
General Duties
- Maintain accurate records for staffing, inventory, and operations
- Coordinate with facility and event staff to support smooth operations
- Perform additional duties as required
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
