Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Labourer/Carpet Cleaning Technician to join our dynamic team. This job is a part time/casual position with a guaranteed 15 hrs a week - potential for more. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of manual tasks related to facilities maintenance and professional carpet cleaning services. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help ensure our clients’ spaces are clean, safe, and well-maintained. Responsibilities
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and cleaning equipment safely and efficiently to perform carpet cleaning and maintenance tasks
- Conduct commercial cleaning duties, including vacuuming, spot cleaning, and deep cleaning carpets and floors in various facilities
- Assist with facilities maintenance activities such as minor repairs, custodial tasks, and general upkeep of client sites
- Manage heavy lifting of equipment, furniture, or supplies while adhering to safety protocols
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization in all work areas
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients to understand specific cleaning or maintenance needs
- Follow established safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment during all tasks
Requirements
- Previous labour or carpet cleaning experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic maintenance equipment is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently as part of daily responsibilities
- Strong time management skills to complete tasks within designated schedules
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members professionally
- Demonstrated customer service orientation with a positive attitude
- Reliable work ethic with the ability to follow instructions carefully and work independently when needed
- Must have a valid class 5 driver’s license
