Overview
Our surface mining operation is looking for experienced and performance-oriented Rock Truck Drivers to join our team in the Quesnel area.
These positions provide an entry-level operating role in our company and drivers that have a desire to further their operating career will be provided with opportunities for training and mentoring in other equipment based on their performance and safety track record.
Skills and Experience Desired
- Experience driving articulated trucks (preferred) or similar equipment or heavy driving experience
- An excellent safety track record
- A solution oriented mindset and excellent communication skills
- A proven ability to find efficiencies and problem solve in a variety of environments
- A history of meeting project deadlines and exceeding deliverables
- Comfort working from a camp environment on long rotations
Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other operators to coordinate excavations and material movement
- Ensure safety protocols are followed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Basic equipment maintenance including daily walk-around inspections
