Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Concrete Pump Operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating concrete pumping equipment efficiently and safely on various construction sites. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation, construction processes, and safety protocols to ensure the timely and quality delivery of concrete. The Concrete Pump Operator will play a vital part in supporting our projects' success through precise operation and coordination.
Responsibilities
- Operate concrete pumping machinery to deliver concrete accurately to designated locations on construction sites.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of pump equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Coordinate with construction crews to determine the best placement for concrete pours and troubleshoot any operational issues during pumping.
- Assist with setup, positioning, and stabilization of the pump equipment, including outriggers and hoses.
- Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents or injuries during operation.
- Maintain detailed logs of equipment usage, maintenance, and operational issues.
- Support other heavy equipment operations as needed, including loader operation, excavator use, or concrete finishing tasks.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating concrete pumps or similar heavy construction equipment.
- Mechanical knowledge related to pump machinery, hydraulics, and general maintenance.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Class 1 or 3 required
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as loaders and excavators is advantageous.
- Knowledge of safety standards and procedures in a construction environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks including lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods. This position offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to large-scale construction projects while working in a dynamic team environment that values safety, skill, and professionalism.
Pay: $24.56-$44.15 per hour
