Dr. Kassem’s office is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and professional Medical Assistant to join our growing team. If you have a strong medical background, excellent clinical skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
In this role, you will be the backbone of our daily clinic operations, balancing hands-on patient care with essential administrative support. The ideal candidate is someone who prides themselves on meticulous documentation and possesses exceptional communication skills to ensure our patients receive the highest standard of care.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Duties:
- Patient Rooming & Vitals: Warmly greet and room patients, prepare them for examination, and accurately measure and record vital signs.
- Injections & Procedures: Safely administer injections and assist Dr. Kassem with minor in-office clinical procedures.
- Infection Control: Maintain, sanitize, and stock examination rooms and ensure medical instruments are properly sterilized.
Administrative & Charting Duties:
- Accurate Documentation: Maintain highly detailed and precise patient charts within our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.
- Referral Management: Proactively coordinate, submit, and follow up on specialist referrals to ensure seamless patient care loops.
- Communication & Inquiries: Manage incoming/outgoing faxes, handle phone inquiries, triage patient messages, and coordinate prescription renewals.
- Clinic Workflow: Collaborate closely with Dr. Kassem and the administrative team to keep the daily schedule running smoothly and on time.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Proven medical background with previous experience working as a Medical Assistant or in a similar clinical role.
- EMR Skills: Experience navigating EMR systems is required; hands-on experience with PS Suite is a major asset.
- Certification: Must possess a valid Injection Certificate.
- Soft Skills: Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate, patient-centered approach.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional organizational skills and a sharp eye for detail—especially when it comes to patient charts and tracking referrals.
- Multitasking: Ability to prioritize a variety of administrative and clinical tasks effectively under pressure.
Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
