Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry techniques and be proficient in working with different materials. This role involves constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. The Carpenter will also be responsible for ensuring that all work is completed to high standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard.
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine project specifications.
- Utilize hand tools and heavy equipment operation for various carpentry tasks.
- Perform concrete finishing and forming as needed for projects.
- Install drywall and other materials according to project requirements.
- Restore existing structures by repairing or replacing damaged components.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure project completion on time.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Carpenter or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong skills in concrete finishing, concrete forming, blueprint reading, and drywall installation.
- Proficiency with hand tools and heavy equipment operation is essential.
- Ability to restore and build structures with attention to detail.
- Welding experience is a plus but not mandatory.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
