Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual, either a <PERSON> or an experienced carpenters helper, to join our construction team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop hands-on skills in various aspects of carpentry and construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, the ability to follow detailed instructions, and a passion for building and renovation work. Prior experience with diverse construction tasks is highly valued, and training will be provided as needed.
Duties
- Assist with framing, cabinetry, and finishing carpentry tasks including installation of cabinets, flooring, tile laying, and siding
- Support concrete forming, rebar installation, and masonry projects
- Operate hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and other construction equipment safely and efficiently
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate project execution
- Perform restoration work such as roofing, siding repairs, or painting as directed
- Assist with plumbing and electrical installations when required
- Handle heavy lifting and material movement across job sites
- Support construction estimating activities by providing accurate measurements and material needs
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety compliance
Skills
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and schematics interpretation
- Experience with concrete forming, masonry, rebar installation, and roofing
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, woodworking equipment, and CNC machinery
- Knowledge of flooring installation, tile laying, siding application, and cabinetry installation
- Familiarity with construction painting, caulking, siding techniques, and general restoration work
- Basic understanding of plumbing and electrical systems is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow schematics accurately
- Handyman experience or background in manufacturing or general construction is desirable
