Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Die Cast Operator to join our manufacturing team. The Die Cast Operator will be responsible for running the Die Cast Machines, maintaining a safe workplace, being quality oriented, while meeting production targets and goals. Die Cast Machine Operator will follow their standard work, and work instructions while being punctual, respectful with fellow Operators, and management.
Responsibilities
- Operate die casting machines and associated equipment in accordance with standard work instructions and production requirements.
- Follow all safe work practices, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Perform tasks as assigned by the Production Supervisor
- Work with setter and support teams to correct issues and improve production
- Conduct part inspections in accordance with job instructions and quality standards.
- Identify and report defects, abnormalities, or equipment issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Complete Autonomous Maintenance (AM) and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) tasks during the shift.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in accordance with 5S principles.
- Accurately record production data in the Aprol Production system.
- Support achievement of production targets and operational goals.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) regulations.
- Comply with ISO, IATF, and customer-specific quality requirements.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the production area.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Physical ability to perform job duties, including standing, lifting, and repetitive tasks.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, foundry, or similar environment is considered an asset but it’s not a requirement.
- Ability to work rotating shifts and in high-temperature environments.
- Working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OH&S).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience operating die casting machines or similar manufacturing equipment.
- Familiarity with quality inspection processes and production standards.
- Basic troubleshooting skills in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with TPM, Autonomous Maintenance, or 5S practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong awareness of safety practices in industrial settings

Pay: $23.12-$25.41 per hour
