Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical systems, with experience in commercial, industrial, residential settings and low voltage applications. This role requires a thorough understanding of electrical schematics, blueprint reading, and the ability to work with various hand and power tools. As a Journeyperson Electrician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and functionality of electrical installations and renovations.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial, industrial, residential settings and low voltage applications.
- Work with low voltage systems, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics to determine layout and installation procedures.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various electrical tasks.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on renovation projects to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical installations to identify potential hazards or areas for improvement.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing duties.
Qualifications
- Proven experience on commercial, industrial and residential electrical projects
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and their applications.
- Proficiency in reading electrical drawings
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to work collaboratively with team members.
- Relevant certifications or licenses as required by local regulations.
