About the Role
The Pastry Cook supports the Pastry Lead in producing high-quality baked goods for Neighbourly Coffee. Working as part of a collaborative kitchen team, you will follow recipes with precision, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and contribute to the warm, community-centered atmosphere that defines everything we do at 12 Neighbours.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare baked goods according to established recipes, maintaining consistent quality and presentation.
- Support the Pastry Lead with daily production tasks and kitchen operations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with food safety standards.
- Use and care for kitchen equipment properly and safely.
- Contribute to a positive, respectful team dynamic in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Adapt to shifting priorities and the evolving needs of the community we serve.
What We’re Looking For
You bring professional kitchen experience, attention to detail, and a genuine willingness to be part of a team that shows up for people.
- Baking Skills: At least one year of experience cooking or baking in a professional kitchen setting.
- Precision: Proven ability to read and execute recipes with accuracy and care.
- Organization: Ability to stay organized and maintain order during busy service periods.
- Equipment Competency: Comfortable using and maintaining standard kitchen tools and equipment safely.
- Teamwork: Strong collaboration skills and a constructive, respectful approach to working with others.

Pay: $16.00-$17.00 per hour
