Under direction of the Shop Manager, the lube/tire technician performs a variety of tasks including tire repairs, removing/installing tires, and changing engine oil.
Duties also include:
- Inspect, replace and repair tires
- Properly label and store tires in storage area.
- Complete required paper work in an accurate, legible manner
- Keep shop manager informed of any problems regarding the shop or customer vehicle related matters
- Maintain a well-organized and professional work area
- Complete other related duties as required
- Must be able to lift 60lbs
- NOTE: This is not an apprenticeship, but may lead to one for the right candidate.
REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid G drivers license
- Prior experience in tire installations & oil changes
- Working knowledge of tires, tools and equipment
- Ability to work with hand tools, hoists, floor jacks, etc.
- Strong work ethic including good attendance record
- Confidence and aptitude to operate independently or supervised
