Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Crane Operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating various types of Tower cranes, . This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The job is a 15-story condo building located in Halifax, NS.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate cranes such as tower crane move materials across construction sites.
- Conduct routine inspections of crane equipment to ensure safety standards are met and report any issues promptly.
- Coordinate with ground personnel and project managers to execute lifts accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain clear communication with team members using effective verbal and non-verbal skills.
- Follow all safety protocols and industry regulations to prevent accidents or injuries on site.
- Assist with basic maintenance of crane equipment when necessary.
- Ensure work areas are organized, clean, and free of hazards during operations.
Skills
- Proven experience of at least 5 years operating crane in construction environments.
- Mechanical knowledge related to crane operation.
- Strong communication skills for effective coordination with team members and clients.
- Ability to work safely in high-risk environments while adhering to safety standards.
Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 10-12 months
Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour
