THE ROLE
Our team of certified journeymen delivers expert
installation, repair, and maintenance solutions tailored to maximize system
efficiency and reduce operational costs. With a strong focus on safety through
their COR certification, they proudly serve the commercial, institutional, and
industrial sectors. From HVAC systems to boilers and cooling towers, they ensure
reliable performance and comfort for every facility they service.
With many manufacture and association relationships, Mac-Tower Inc. prides itself
in being able to give intensive training opportunities to our employees on various
equipment and professional development.
We are seeking skilled HVAC/R Apprentices and Journeyman to join our team. The
ideal candidate will possess mechanical knowledge and experience in heating,
ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This role involves installing, maintaining,
and repairing HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. The
HVAC Apprentice will work on various projects and service calls, demonstrating
proficiency in reading schematics and performing appliance repairs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install, maintain, and repair HVAC/R systems including heating units, air
conditioning units, and ventilation systems.
- Troubleshoot issues with HVAC/R equipment and perform necessary repairs
to restore functionality.
- Conduct routine inspections of HVAC/R systems to ensure they are
operating efficiently and safely.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand system layouts and
configurations.
- Perform plumbing tasks as needed for HVAC/R installations or repairs.
- Utilize brazing and soldering skills for the fabrication or repair of HVAC
components.
- Collaborate with other technicians and contractors on larger projects to
ensure timely completion of work.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports and
inventory management.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. All Levels of HVAC/R Apprentices and Journeymen will be considered.
2. Willingness to learn under multiple journeymen.
3. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and repair
various HVAC/R systems.
4. Familiarity with plumbing tasks related to HVAC/R installations is preferred.
5. Ability to read schematics and technical drawings effectively.
6. Experience in fuel-fired equipment repair is a plus.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
8. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team
members.
9. Valid driver's license.
