Job Summary
We are seeking energetic, dedicated, compassionate and experienced Early Childhood Educator sto join our curated team. Responsibilities include creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for young children to learn and grow. The ideal candidates will have a passion for working with children, strong skills in understanding Alberta Childcare Regulations, and the ability to work both in a team environment, while being an independent and confident thinker. Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development
- Provide attentive care and supervision to children during daily activities, playtime, meals, and rest periods
- Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing individualized attention
- Collaborate with colleagues and parents to monitor each child's progress and address any concerns
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom to ensure a healthy environment
- Engage in ongoing professional development related to early childhood education best practices
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in educational or caregiving settings is preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and development milestones
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members
- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for teaching young children
- Certification or training in early childhood education is desirable but not mandatory
- Ability to create a positive, nurturing atmosphere that promotes learning and growth
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Casual
Pay: $16.36-$21.38 per hour
Expected hours: 16.0 – 40.0 per week
