Duties
- Design and implement training programs tailored to each horse’s needs, focusing on behavior, obedience, and confidence-building
- Lead daily training sessions, ensuring horses are engaged and progressing effectively
- Assist with grooming, feeding, and daily health checks to maintain optimal horse welfare
- Use farm machinery and mechanical tools safely during training routines and facility maintenance
- Perform heavy lifting tasks such as moving feed bags, equipment, or horses when necessary
- Monitor horses’ physical condition and report any health concerns promptly to the veterinary team
- Maintain detailed records of training progress, behaviors observed, and any incidents or concerns
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to farm machinery and equipment operation
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a farm setting
- Experience working with horses or in an equine training environment is highly desirable
- Knowledge of basic animal health care and behavior management techniques
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and provide clear instructions
- Physical stamina and agility to handle demanding tasks throughout the day
- A proactive attitude with a passion for animal welfare and training excellence
Pay: $21.00-$22.00 per hour
