About Us: Chebucto Family Centre’s (CFC) mission is to nurture and enhance the quality of life of families through the delivery of free, community-based programs and services. CFC, located in Spryfield, serves as both a Family Resource Centre and a community hub. It operates in an area with a child poverty rate of 41.9%. Established in 1887, the Centre offers a range of free programs and services designed to support families and community members. These services include advocacy, food assistance, health and wellness programs, prenatal and parenting support, a volunteer doula program, child and youth activities, and Home Child Care Agency services.
Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic student to join our Program Support team. This position is ideal for an individual looking to gain hands-on experience in program support, client engagement, and administrative support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the registration of participants for various programs.
- Support front desk operations, including greeting visitors and answering inquiries.
- Collaborate with the program team to ensure smooth operation of sessions.
- Gather and document client feedback following sessions to improve future programs.
- Capture photographs during sessions for marketing and documentation purposes.
- Provide assistance throughout the center as needed.
Qualifications:
- Current student
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in using basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
