Sonic Industrial Services provides surface preparation (sandblasting) for the repair, protection, prevention, and maintenance of our clients projects. We are growing, and looking to add competent Sandblasters to our team.
Duties include abrasive sandblasting of concrete, steel, and wood projects. Work is both commercial and residential in nature and requires cooperative engagement with other trades homeowners and co-workers.
Sandblaster is required to manger a team independently and complete mobile sandblasting projects within and surrounding Calgary. Work takes place outdoors and requires general physical labour. Please have a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, effective time management skills and ability to delegate tasks.
Attention to safety is priority and must be demonstrated through daily completion of maintenance checklists and Field Level Hazard Assessments. Appropriate PPE is provided.
Preference will be given to those with previous (minimum 2 years) sandblasting experience. Successful applicants with sandblasting experience can expect a starting wage of at least $30/hr(negotiable). We offer competitive wages within the industry based on experience & qualifications.
No previous sandblasting experience? No problem! Individuals who are willing to learn the trade of sandblasting through one-to-one supervision and instruction will be offered a competitive wage (negotiable) with room for growth.
Hours of work can vary in relation to weather and project demand. Standard days of work are Monday to Friday 7:30am to 4:30pm. There is significant potential for weekend work with paid overtime in the summer months.
A valid Class 5 Drivers License, with a clean abstract and a MINIMUM 5 continuous years of insurance history within Canada is required.
