Job Overview
We are a family-oriented, patient-centric dental office looking to welcome a Registered Dental Hygienist to our team for 1-2 days a week.
Office hours 8 AM to 5 PM with 1 hour paid lunch time.
Responsibilities
- Perform oral examinations, including X-rays and PANs
- Scaling, root planing, polishing, and stain removal
- Apply preventive materials (fluoride, sealants)
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, diet, and nutrition
- Conduct oral cancer screenings
- Document dental history and chief complaints accurately
- Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe working environment
Qualifications
- Valid Dental Hygiene License in Ontario
- Minimum 3 years of RDH experience
- Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program
- Valid CPR certification
- Knowledge of Dentrix software (asset)
- Excellent communication and patient education skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and within a team
- Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures is advantageous
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 16 per week
