Job Description
MWM Environmental has an immediate opening for a full-time Class 3 Truck Operator with air brake endorsement to join our team in Morden, MB.
The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a variety of waste and environmental service vehicles safely and efficiently while delivering excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Ensure service is completed in a timely and safe manner according to established policies and procedures
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Complete assigned daily routes
- Perform driver check-ins and ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and on time
- Climb ladders on trucks when required to inspect loads
- Assist with additional duties as assigned by Dispatch
- Operate vehicles with standard transmission
- Maintain cleanliness of trucks, both inside and out
- Work as a floater and operate various trucks when needed, including:
- Burro
- Roll Off
- Front Load
- Rear Load
- Side Load
Qualifications & Requirements
The ideal candidate:
- Holds a valid Class 3 licence with air brake endorsement
- Is reliable, dependable, and committed
- Is physically fit and able to repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs
- Is physically capable of tarping large containers
- Is comfortable getting in and out of the truck frequently throughout the day
- Can work efficiently with minimal supervision
- Can meet or exceed daily load quotas
- Is a team player with a positive attitude
- Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrates a commitment to customer service
- Previous industry experience is considered an asset
Compensation
- Wage dependent on experience
Additional position information
- Selected candidate will be required to complete a background check.
- Clean Driver's Abstract is required
