About the Role
We are seeking a temporary hands-on Warehouse & Logistics Coordinator to support shipping/receiving, inventory control, and overall warehouse operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of inventory accuracy, and is confident operating a sit-down counterbalance forklift.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring materials are received, stored, and dispatched efficiently to support field operations and project timelines.
This is a temporary 6month contract for fill-in.
Key Responsibilities
Shipping & Receiving
- Load, unload, and move materials using a sit-down counterbalance forklift
- Process and verify shipping/receiving documentation with accuracy
- Coordinate shipments with couriers including Canada Post, FedEx, UPS, and Purolator
- Stage, pack, and prepare outbound shipments based on customer/project requirements
- Prepare and stage materials for weekly field crew mobilization
- Load and secure construction materials onto trailers safely
Inventory Management
- Perform cycle counts and full inventory counts (weekly, monthly, quarterly)
- Monitor inventory levels and order parts to maintain optimal stock
- Organize warehouse using FIFO (First-In, First-Out) principles
- Group project-specific materials for easy access and traceability
- Ensure alignment between physical inventory and system records
Warehouse Operations & Maintenance
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment
- Optimize storage layout and space utilization
- Support general warehouse upkeep and minor maintenance tasks
Reporting & Communication
- Prepare and present inventory and warehouse reports
- Collaborate with internal teams to support project timelines
- Provide direction and support to warehouse staff as needed
- Promote a safety-first and team-oriented culture
Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of forklift experience (sit-down counterbalance required)
- Valid Forklift Operator License (mandatory)
- Previous warehouse operations experience required
- Leadership or team lead experience is an asset
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong communication skills with a clear command of English
- Highly organized and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract
- Experience in the telecom or construction industry is an asset
Pay: $27.00-$30.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
