Position: Montessori Toddler Educator
Location: 418 Moodie Drive, Ottawa, ON
Lily Montessori Childcare Center in Ottawa, ON, is actively seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize a child-centered approach to learning.
- Establish and maintain a meticulously prepared environment that optimizes students' learning and growth.
- Assess children's abilities, interests, and needs, and regularly communicate progress to parents and colleagues.
- Foster collaborative relationships with co-workers, management, and families.
- Actively participate in staff meetings and engage in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure classroom materials are clean and well-organized.
- Fulfill additional duties as assigned to support the smooth operation of the childcare center.
Requirements:
- Hold a current certification in Standard First Aid and infant child CPR.
- Maintain up-to-date immunization and health assessment in accordance with local Minister of Health Requirements.
- Have a recent Police Record Check (Less than 6 months old)
Highly Preferred:
- Have an ECE certificate from a Canadian institution, OR be a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE), OR possess an AMI (Montessori Association International Degree), OR AMS (American Montessori Society) certification, OR MACTE (
- 1+ years of Montessori Experience
