Frazer Excavation is immediately hiring Heavy Equipment Operator for projects in the lower mainland and throughout the province. We are a multi-disciplinary Contractor specializing in civil/earthworks and land clearing/grinding/biomass. Ownership is actively involved in the daily operations of the company. We self-perform much of the work we contract in order to maintain control of schedule, quality and cost. Responsibilities
- Safe and efficient operation of heavy equipment including Excavators, Dozers and Skid-steer to meet production targets
- Can safely and effectively dig and service for all utility types. Storm, Sanitary, Watermain, Hydro/Telus/Rogers, Streetlighting Etc.
- Is able to load various types of trucks to proper weight in a timely manner (Truck and Transfer, Truck and Pony, Single Truck, End Dump, Rock Truck etc.
- Clean, lubricate and fuel all equipment, as scheduled and required.
- Ensure heavy equipment is safety and securely stored.
- Communicate effectively with crew via hand signals and radio communications.
- Ensure awareness of all site conditions that could affect heavy equipment operation (i.e. overhead power lines, workers, mobile equipment, pedestrians, etc.).
- Has basic understanding of layout and topcon.
- Can perform bulk excavation, detailed excavation and road grading safely and efficiently.
Maintenance
- Performs daily inspections, safety and maintenance checks
- Report defects or needed repairs immediately to supervisor.
- Clean, lubricate and fuel all equipment, as scheduled and required.
- Start each shift by checking machine fluids, oil, hydraulic and engine coolant.
- Greasing all grease points at end of each day.
- Maintaining cleanliness of cab.
Employment Requirements:
- MINIMUM 3 YEARS EXPERIENCE (6,000 HOURS)
- Driver’s License
- Proficient in English
